Everyday You Write the Book

I love this new video by Christine Mason Miller, aka SwirlyGirl. It uses film clips with images from her wonderfully inspiring book, Ordinary Sparkling Moments

I have one of her small works of art hanging in my office. It says:

"At any given moment you have the power to say: this is not how the story is going to end."

It always empowers me to remember that I am the author of my own life.

I am writing the story, and I am the story.

I decide the next chapter. I get to write my own happy ending. I can craft scenes of magic, create characters that I adore, and capture the poetry of life.

We are born creators. Amazingly talented and gifted. All of us: You. And You. And You. (And me, too. And yes, truly, you, too.)

We all are writing the stories of our live each moments, with our thoughts, beliefs and actions. We share our souls through the thumbprint of our lives — each unique to us alone.

On my desk I have an index card that says: "What will you create today?"

It could also say: "What story will you tell about your life today?"

Or as Christine might ask: "What are you waiting for?"

Our dreams are important. They need to be written into being, each and every day.

So tell me, what will you create today?
